TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Special Olympics Indiana Flame of Hope an iconic, global symbol of unity and courage arrived in Terre Haute Friday to signify the start of the annual Summer Games. Hundreds of law enforcement officers came together across the state to support Special Olympics Indiana. Indiana State University Police Department hosted the final leg of the race in Terre Haute. Ways to stay safe as weekend temperatures rise The 2023 Law Enforcement Torch Run's Final Leg in Terre Haute was a 3-mile run that started at Indiana State University and traveled past the ISU fountain as well as the Larry Bird statue.
